Mya's Mission
Grant

Our Grant Program
Through our Mya's Mission Grant Program we can directly decrease or eliminate the financial barriers for individuals seeking treatment for substance use and mental health disorders in North Dakota by providing grants for individuals seeking treatment services. With the help of financial support, individuals can access the necessary resources, treatments, and therapies that are vital for their recovery journey. We provide grants to individuals living in North Dakota who have been accepted and attend a residential, outpatient, or sober living program to offset the cost of services based on need and are the payor of last resort. Applications are prioritized based on medical necessity, current living situation, need for immediate safety, and financial need. These grants enable them to receive the care and assistance they need to break free from the grip of addiction and mental health challenges.

However, we understand that money alone cannot solve everything. Recovery is a complex and multifaceted process that requires more than just financial aid. That's why Mya's Mission goes beyond providing monetary grants. We also offer guidance and hands-on support to our partners, ensuring that they have the tools and knowledge to navigate their recovery successfully.

About Mya
Mya's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter radiated joy to all in her presence. A social butterfly at heart, her warmth and charisma illuminated every space she graced, leaving an enduring impact on those fortunate to know her. Whether mentoring in the Sources of Strength program or nurturing children at a local childcare center, Mya poured her heart into uplifting those around her. Her profound love for children shone through, evident in every moment spent guiding and caring for them.
Mya's enthusiasm extended to the outdoors, embracing activities like barrel racing, fishing escapades, and four-wheeling adventures. A true farm girl, her affection for horses, notably her cherished Turbo, remains etched in our hearts as treasured memories. We fondly recall her love, laughter, and the enduring legacy she imprinted on our lives. Though her time among us was brief, her legacy of kindness and effervescent spirit continues to inspire us all.
Messages From Our
Grant Recipients

"Kristopher Bergstrom and myself (Sienna Hayes) have struggled with addiction for 6 years, we had lost everything. Attempted the 30-day treatment program twice at the Providence House with no success after leaving. We then gave it another shot, and thankfully, Providence House let us come back; I went to the women's facility in Minot, and Kris went to the men's facility in Watford. This time something changed, something was different. We decided to give it our all, and we both finished our 30-day inpatient treatment and decided to move into Endeavor Sober Living, with the success we both were there for over 4 months and decided to start our lives in the Watford area and started achieving some of our goals, and one of those goals was getting our daughter home whom we had lost to CPS due to our addiction. After 2-1/2 months of continued sobriety and hard determination, our daughter finally got to come home, not just for visitation. Not only for weekends but she got to come home for good. At this point we had everything we needed for her to be at home besides daycare, with the help of the Providence Foundation with the initial payment for our daughter to start daycare, we didn't have to miss work, and we were able to continue working and continue on with our everyday routine which now involved our daughter. So GRATEFUL 😊 THANK YOU ALL. We could not have done this without the support and help to a happy and healthy future. We both want to thank the Providence Foundation."
"I am forever grateful to Providence Foundation for getting me my insulin. It will help me in so many ways. I will be able to get better physically. Providence Foundation is literally saving my life by getting my insulin for me, and I can't thank them enough. Providence Foundation is saving my life even more than just getting my insulin for me, it is saving me from addiction. Giving me a new chance at life to live clean and be free from that living hell. Helping me gain tools and look deep inside myself to get down to the core of my problems and traumas. Providence Foundation and Providence House are helping and saving me physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. For that reason, I am forever grateful. Thank you." -RR
